Lord of the rings Franchise
Lord of the rings franchise trilogy had something that none of the other great franchises in this Top 10 list ever had.
All three movies were fantastic, but what was unique about the trilogy was that it improved from the first movie The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) which was a great introduction to the trilogy and to the fantasy world J. R. R. Tolkien created. To The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) which focused more on the action and delivered an even better viewing experience than Fellowship of the Ring .The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) managed to top the previous 2 chapters of Lord of the rings trilogy and deliver an epic finale to a trilogy where every movie managed to top its predecessor in the series.
The Hobbit an Unexpected Journey 2012 on the other hand was slightly disappointing, probably because the expectations from it were too high.
