The Elfs take a more substation
part in this movie and from the looks of it Legolas and Evangeline Lilly make
this trailer look a lot better. Now when i think about it the 14 dwarfs from
the previous movie are barely seen and Legolas
and Evangeline Lilly take a lot of screen time according to the trailer.
Somebody probably learned from
his mistakes from the previous installment in this Lord of the rings franchise,
and started emphasizing on the things that worked in the successful trilogy and
not focus on the failing Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey pieces (The Dwarfs
and Bilbo). After my slight disappointment from The Hobbit: An Unexpected
Journey I am
actually really exited seeing The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
If you
have not seen the trailer yet check it out it will be worth those 2 minutes of
your time.
I wasn't disappointed in the first part of The Hobbit. It followed the book & the character development was Tolkien's structure. I was disappointed that Jackson didn't make this a 2 part instead of 3. There would have been no real worry that a 2 parter would have each film being too long, because Tolkien fans are loyal & "long is good".
ReplyDeleteLooks like we're all looking forward to Smaug this December.
i didn't read the books so the only thing i had to compare the first Hobbit was to Lord of the rings trilogy
ReplyDeleteThe first part of the Hobbit doesn't come close to the Lord of the rings movies.
from the trailer the Smaug definitely looks good
